Question about Samsung 931BF 17" LCD Monitor
I have the signal cable in and I get this floating message...
"check signal cable"
*red* *green* *blue*
*colour* is just a square of that colour... HELP ME!!!!!!

in your mon there will be small left arror image in box called enter button,,,,if u press that button its shows analog and digital in that have to choose digital.....

it shwos a compability issue with ur pc and monitor .somehow your sync signals are drop and not going to monitor at proper level...so u could replace your video data cable with new one.
or use a short length cable.it may solve your problem.

sounds like it might be a graphics card. if u have an old graphics or vidio card, open the case and remove your card then install the old one. if it works now youll know your card is bad. If u have an old video card and an open pci slot install it and move the monitor cable to the old video card plugin. if it works now same thing your graphics card is bad. to know which card to remove just remember which one the monitor is plugged into.

had the same issue, called up customer care of samsung and they suggested me to change the cable to D-15 10 series. I was getting the comp o/p on TV but with the "Check Signal Cable" messg with the old VGA cable where some pin is not grounded used for computer to monitor connectivity.
