SOURCE: not getting fire from coil

Do you have a manual? If you do can you send me a copy of the correct schematic for your bike. It will me help you if you can scan a copy in to send me. If you don't already have a basic voltmeter that measures resistance. You should pick one up at either WalMart or even better Harbor Freight has the best deal $4-$9 there. What year is your bike? You can start off by isolating the kill switches from the coil by unplugging the coil lead headed towards on/off switch and other safety switches. The idea here is to make sure you don't have a bad switch by disconnecting all kill switches to test for spark. If still no spark does the bike have cdi box or points fire ignition. CDI is capacitor discharge ignition often refered to as the black box. Points are mechanical switches that open and close riding on the crankshaft.
Please send year of bike so I can better assist you.
Thank you,
Todd

Im not getting fire to cyclinders to my 27 Hp kohler engine,I replace key switch.

Check your ignitions coils under your engine shroud and you can do that by pulling your spark plugs and leaving those intact in your spark plug boot. make sure your plug is meeting your engine block and turn you ignition key on to start and check for spark or go to your auto parts store get a ignition coil tester. they can be expensive depending on the store. If no spark then you need a new or used coil. Try Ebay that.

Im not getting fire to the coil plug I've already replaced crank sensor

there are several reasons for no spark
cam position sensor , immobiliser problems, faulty ignition module
run the fault codes to see exactly where the problem may be

Why no spark

There should be three coils mounted on the ignition module.
Each coil fires two plugs, one positive and one negative.
If one of the three coils is dead, it could be the coil. If every other plug is not firing, it could be the module.

check that you're getting spark from the coil to the distributor. Could be a bad coil or bad wire.

Sthil 270 has no fire. Replaced spark plug, I have cleaned and reset the gap on the coil with a business card. The flywheel Magnets seem to have equal pull. Do I need to replace the coil?

Do you have a good spark.? Is fuel getting into the cylinder and making the plug wet.? Im assuming the compression is good.

I have a 1970 yamaha80 GT1, im having an electrical problem, the bike is getting elctricity fine from the points all the way to the front coil witch i replaced so i know is not the problem, the electric...

There are two coils on the bike. The pickup coil inside the flywheel and the high tension coil with the spark plug wire attached. If you can see arcing at the mount bracket where the high tension coil mounts to the frame, either the coil is bad or the plug wire is bad. Some coils allow replacement of the plug wire, some don't. Chances are you will need a new coil.

79 harley ironhead 1000cc xlh no spark from coil coil is good and im geting power to both sides of coil

It sounds like your sensor in the timer cavity on the right side of the engine is bad. Disconnect the blue wire from the coil. Take a spark plug out of the engine, put it back in the spark plug wire, and lay it on the head. Turn the switch on and momentarily touch the blue wire to the coil. When you take the wire off of the coil, you should see a spark at the plug. The purpose of the sensor in the timer cavity is to stop the flow of current in the coil and initiate a spark.

Good Luck

Im not getting any fire to a brand new spark plug

Spark plugs when replaced should have the spark plug wire connector squeezed down before connecting in order to ensure a good connection.

Also, the coil may no be good if the plug and wire are fine.
