Question about Car Audio & Video
Just installed a clarion cz 209 in my truck worked good for a day now i dont get any sound and on the screen it says amp grd but i dont have an amp in there just two rear speakers and two fronts please help
The most likely cause for the problem is that either the power antenna lead or the amp remote turn-on lead has shorted to ground somewhere behind the dash.
Pull the unit back out and make sure that the ends of all of the unused leads are completely covered.
The best way is to use an insulated crimp-on closed-end connector on the end or each unused wire. Heat shrink tubing is also OK. Fold the end of the wire back into a "U" shape and shrink the tubing over the "U" overlapping it about 1/4" on both ends. You can use electricians tape as a last resort, but it's messy if you ever need to remove it and sometimes it just comes off by itself.
Hope this helps.
