Question about IBM eserver xSeries 205 8480
We a problem with our networking, for early its normal but sometime it just loss and then back to normal again. We try to ping the server from client, for a moment it normal and 100% connected. But when it reach about 15 minute, we have loss up to 75%. We have update the BIOS system and Network Driver Version (we download it from IBM sites). But it give no good. We also have change/restructure out network line and hub. Please if you have experience like those kind of problem or know how to solve it, we wish your assist. Thankyou.
Are all clients losing connections or just one? Can anyone ping the server when your client is getting 75% loss? If you are using a hub, what traffic is running during packet loss? You might need a packet trace to see what is going on. You also need to check your server stats when it is happening and when it is not and see what the difference is. Check the hub stats for errors on the ports. Is the server on the same hub with your client? These should help you find the problem if you get this info.
