How many gigs is your PS3 and are you using a offical PS3 usb plug and is your controller a real PS3 Sony controller or one of those mad catz controller. If it is not the USB plug that came with the PS3 that could be one problem, if its not a real Sony PS3 controller that could be one and if your PS3 is less than 60gig dont play or watch any thing on it when you plug in the controller

Return it to Sony, the usb port is not working, you will have to buy a new control that was the problem but you will still have to get ps3 fixed

USB POWER

If you get an error message"Insufficient power to operate USB device" when you plug a USB deviceinto the computer's USB port, then this device is drawing excessive currentthat the USB port cannot supply. The maximum output from an USB port is 500mA. In case such as this, youneed to purchased a powered USB hub and connect this hub into the computer'sUSB port and then connect the USB device into this powered USB hub.

USB error message

Have you connected any other USB devices to your PC? The USB ports can only supply a small amount of power and some devices especially USB connected hard drives consume more power than it can provide so they usually have an external power supply. Remove any other USB devices & try again. Did you have your camera connected before with a power adapter? Are you camera batteries fully charged? Let us know how you get on...

Power sugre with m240

Hi there. This message would indicate any one of the following: 1. You have a lot of USB devices plugged in to your computer, and the maximum power supply for the USB ports has been exceeded by plugging this player to your computer. It would be best if you unplugged 1 or 2 of the USB devices connected for the time being. 2. You are plugging the player on your front USB port, and may need to plug it in the rear USB port to acquire ample power supply (front USB ports do not get as much power as the rear USB port -- sad but true) 3. You are using a laptop and may need to try another USB port on that computer. Purchasing a self-powered USB hub would be ideal as it gets its power supply directly from the wall electrical socket.
