I have a Frigidaire washing machine, model # FWT449GFS1, about 2 weeks ago it stopped adding water during the rinse cycle, when the water wasn't added the washer just buzzed and would not advance, but if I advanced it to the spin cycle it would spin normally. Yesterday it would no longer add water to the wash cycle or the rinse cycle but if I added water manually the washer would still agitate and spin normally. I have already checked the hoses and the screens are not blocked.
Pipes maybe clear but is your area wher you live prone to limescaling? where the water pipe/pipes go into the machine there is a switch to shut on/off the flow of water during whatever cycle you want.this might be blocked or sticking. first try to select different cycles and see if any of those fills the machine with water. if no water comes its one of two things. that switch is faulty or communication between the switch and the front consule is at fault.
contact your supplier after trying to go thru a few different cycles.

The timer for your washer can be found at repairclinic.com. Just type in your model number in the Search menu. It is listed as item number 1060744 and costs about $66.00. There's also a repair manual available for about $16.00 listed as item number 1170635.
Searsparstdirect.com also carries the part for about the same price. It is listed under the "Controls and Rear Panel Parts" section after you type in your model number. It is listed as item number 9 in the parts illustrations and the part number is 8546685. The Sears website also carries a repair manual under the "Top and Cabinet Parts" section as item number 1G (part number 4313896) that costs about $15.00.
I mentioned the repair manual just in case you wanted it as a reference for future repairs. Of all the washers I've worked on, this is one of the easiest machines to troubleshoot and repair. I hope this helps you. Please post back if you need further assistance.

i would check the timmer. run it through a cycle and when it stops slightly move the timmer ahead. if that works than you need to replace the timmer... i had a washer that did that and it turned out to be the timmer on mine.

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

this can be two issues. One could be the control knob. there could be a malfunction here. secondly, you may have a faulty water valve assembly. the relay or solenoid may need to be replaced. i would start with the control knob.
