Most electronics stores (Radio Shack etc. ) will have a replacement power cord. You may want to bring the hub with you to ensure you get the right cord. Best of luck to you!

I lost the power chord for my GE USB 2.0 hub. What can I replace it with?

Generally these types of power cords are easily replaceable. You should be able to find out what specific cord/power supply you will need by calling the manufacturer or checking the included manual.

I installed a 4 port hub to speed up my file tranfer to a flash drive. The files transfer but not any faster then using the front usb ports. It is normal?

Yes. While the speed from the USB device to the USB hub may be faster (USB 2.0 protocol, rather than the slower USB 1.1 protocol), your hub is still connected to a USB 1.1 port on your computer.

The hub will power down when the computer is turned off how ever it turns itself back on. how do i prevent this

the item you have selected appears to be a USB hub, if it is indeed a USB Hub, there is no way to prevent it from being shut-off when you turn off your computer.
the hub is supplied power from your computers USB port, so when you shutdown the computer, your removing power from the hub.

One day the Belkin 7 port hub works the next day it doesn't

Your problems with the Belkin 7 port are not due to the Dell computer or the XP OS. To problem solve, select on USB port and stay with it, not the 2 top ports for your keyboard and mouse. 1. Plug in the power adapter, wiggle it about, widen the prongs, change outlets at the 120 v. end. 2. Use an simple hand magnifier and peer closely at the DC input plug and be positive that the center post and the minue side piece of metal if in firm constact with the plug. If cannot insure a firm fit, sligtly bend that tiny metal piece towards center. Option 2, use another adaptor with the precise voltage as the original and the idential pin that inserts into the module. 3. Use another or new USB connector.
This list does not imply a specific order of diagnosis. Your fundamental problem is the failure to delive DC power to the Belkin hub or to capture the hub to USB port signal. In a phrase, you gotta short somewhere.not an issue with the computer or the XP operating system. Bill Miller

USB hub not working?

When you get USB devices, some have their own power, like a plug-in hard drive, and some get their power from the host, like jump drives. My USB scanner gets power from the host, but if you plug it into a USB hub, it sucks the power from the host. Too many of those devices and the scanner fails, so they suggest you don't plug it into a hub.

Here's where the BUS and SELF switch come in. Somewhere, there is a 6v DC power supply that either came with your Belkin or is optional. If you use it, and put the switch on SELF, you don't have to worry about what you plug into the ports. If you don't care, or don't have the power supply, you can put the switch on BUS, but be aware that not all USB devices you plug into the hub will work, or a combination of two devices may not work.
