Question about Vacuums
This topic has been done before - and I've tried all the solutions given - nothing works so far. I've now spent the entire afternoon working on this ''almost new'' used one time carpet cleaner. Everything works perfectly except it will not spray water from either the base or the attachment. I've tried priming the pump per instructions from Bissell, I've tried all of the solutions previously given in other posts - it has to be something really simple that I'm missing....can anyone help???
Mine did the same thing and after a good cleaning of all the tubes and jets i discovered the little pump was rusted and fuzed from water allowed to leak inside.
you can tell this very easily as there will be a rust appearance around the little motor and you wont be able to turn it with your fingers.unfortunately the cost of the pump is prohibitive because you wont be able to replace just the motor and even if you could the problem will only return because of poor engineering design
leave it up to the chinese to screw us again
i will throw the whole thing away and go to made in america.com or some other website and find one made in america where we can gets parts and service.

If your machine continues to not spray, please take it to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center for warranty repairs. If you are experiencing difficulties other than no spray, the technician will let you know the cost for those repairs if your machine is outside of the one year warranty timeframe. You can locate a BISSELL Authorized Service Center at this link: http://www.bissell.com/service-centers/?zip=Enter%20your%20zip%20code&distance=50&icid=ccrr
One pointer that can help between uses is running water through the lines. First, put clean water in both tanks and set your unit to the heavy traffic setting for one pass. This will flush out any cleaning formula in the lines so your spray tips won't get build-up between uses, which can lead to a lack of dispensing the cleaning formula.
