Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Hey, I have a sansa e250 nd it is going horribly wrong. First off, the Sansa loadup screen which says Sandisk ,in the backround, lasts about 30 sec. It takes so long that the blue light from the thumb pad goes away. After that, it brings me to the "language" section for some reason nd takes about 10 sec for it to load to the main screen after I click on English (of course). Again, not normal. Lastly, when I choose any of my songs, the screen looks like it freezes and it restarts back to the Sandisk backround. The process won't stop! I can plug it into my 360 nd i can listen to my tracks but when I plug it into my pc, it does the same thing I mentioned up top. It's an ongoing pattern that I don't want to be apart of so what I'm trying to say is... Help?

    I tried everything you said nd i'm still having problems. Even when I try to turn it off, by holding the menu button, it'll say goodbye (like it's supposed to) nd then freeze with a line through it, nd then boot up again to the Sandisk screen. That's what happens when i tried to listen to my music. I can listen to my radio for some odd reason but cannot listen to FM recordings saved on it becuz it ends up like my regular music, just restarting over nd over. I can't even change the type of USB mode, it does the same thing as well. Is there any other options other than the one you gave me?

Sounds like some of your music may be corrupt.

You can use this to get it back to normal;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

Those screens don't handle drops very well. Once they start to get lines, they are often on their way out. If it is still under warranty, open a repair ticket with Sandisk. They will probably replace it if you haven't had it too long.

My sansa e250 won't work

I had a e260 and i thought i might share this with you. They got recalled, because ofa software malfunction. That might be what is wrong with yours, even though it's a different one it seemed to me like they were still getting the bugs out beause i upgraded to the e280 and i have to take it back too for software problems...
