Question about Philips 37PF7320A 37 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

1 Answer

My Phillips flat screed TV model # 37PF7320A 37 won't turn on. When I press the power button the indicator light blinks 1 long red then 4 short. I tried to change both of the fuses but I couldn't find the ceramic 5M so I substituted with a glass 5 M. Could that be the problem because it hasn't solved the problem. Any suggestions?

Your post is identical to my problem: On power up attempt green light shows; five seconds later a ''click'' sound heard; system goes to standby red flasher. Sequence is one long and four short flashes repeating. Nothing recommended to date will allow the tv to respond in a positive manner to remote or onboard power switch. Set about year old. Tried power disconnect, disconnect from cable box, channel changing, you name I have contacted Philips and will advise...

Philip tv no picture no sound

I have the model Philips 37PF7320A/37 won't turn on and MOST articles on the Internet say it's the Capacitors capictors capictors..I checked all of them. My tv just blinked red lights, had the clicking sound at first power on, but then goes black. No sound. No picture. Nothing. Just blinking red lights.

MINE WAS RESISTOR no. 3318 , a 100 OHM RESISTOR ON POWER SUPPLY BOARD.

I BOUGHT REPLACEMENT FOR .99 CENTS SOLDER IT, AND EVERYTHING WORKED!!!

THAT WAS ALL IT TOOK.

JUST A SUGGESTION..
1. CHECK FOR BULGING CAPACITORS (90 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM)
2. THEN CHECK FOR RESISTORS WITH MULTIMETER ( FALLS INTO THE OTHER 10 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM.)

TELL ME IF THAT HELPS..normanw1@yahoo.com

I have a 37" Phillips LCD TV. it will not turn on and the light that used to show green (to signal the tv on) now blinks red. What does that mean?

how many times does it blink red. the will help determine whats wrong. Most lightly its going to give you 6 or 7 blinks whick points to the power supply this is sometimes a false indication to the ssb/signal board being bad. you coulb try the parts or have a tech come out and verify which is the problem.

That blinking led is an error code for the audio standby board in the set. It should not go out this soon and yes it should last longer.

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif
And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.
