Question about Car Audio & Video
I have a 1991 Ford Taurus SHO with a high-level audio system [stock]. I bought it used within the past month and the stereo does not work. I can hear static through the speakers when i turn up the volume all the way and turn up the treble. I have checked all of the fuses i know about. what could be wrong?
Look into your owners manual and find the fuse diagram-it may be that your sound system has 2 fuses for the audio system. I had the same problem in my explorer with the "premium" sound system -and it was a fuse-one said radio etc. and the other said audio system-so im guessing that one ran the deck and one ran the amp-anyhow i changed it out and it worked fine-hope that helps ya
