You can try this if you want to adjust the settings manually:
go to your control panel >> click 'classic control panel' if it isn't already selected >> folder options >> file types (tab) >> scroll down until you find 'HTM' and 'HTML' and see what program they are associated with. If it isn't Internet Explorer or your browser of choice, click 'change' and select a browser from the list there and make sure the box 'always use for this type of file' is selected.
if a browser is already selected, you may have some type of malware on your computer and i'd recommend trying <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.superantispyware.com/">superantispyware</a> or <a rel='nofollow' href="http://www.malwarebytes.org/">malwarebytes antimalware</a> -- kinda ironic to give you links, but i guess you can right-click, copy shortcut/link address, then paste it into the address bar of your browser successfully? if you can't make it to those sites, you may have some difficult malware and need to start a new post accordingly.
good luck!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How can I stop a hacker?

If you mean so they can't steal your password, then get a password at least 15 characters long, with capitals, lowercase, numbers, and an exclamation mark or a question mark in there. That is a pretty safe password.

Also, don't click on any suspicious links. Never get on the site you want by clicking on links from other sites. Type in www.Whatever.com. for example. Also, remember that companies will NEVER email you to ask for your password. Also, don't enter the site through links in email, because hackers are good and can look convincing.

Just clicks when turned on

what sort of click ?
where is it coming from internally ?

Gently tap the hard drive with an opened hand and see if you can get it to spin up one last time. click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management if you can see your drive right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box Downloads to Recover Your Files and Save Your Bacon and 10 Best Free Hard Drive Utilities. http://www.easeus.com/resource/hard-disk-data-recovery.htm Some addition links found on Google

Of course it can be sent to a data recovey company if you really have to get the data off.

Browser only opening on SOME OUTLOOK links

The problem is not with your computer or your browser. You are saying 2 links opened. The other 2 did not open. It is quite common different links point to the same URL. The reason it did not open was because there is some mistake in the URl. Another reason could be that your browser is setup to block certain type of websites.
Hope this will help you.

PDF and Graphics

There are several things that come into play here. The first thing I would try would be to change the print options in Publisher to print full resolution:
  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. In the Print dialog box, click Advanced Print Settings, and then click the Graphics and Fonts tab.
  3. Under Graphics, select Print full-resolution linked graphics, and then click OK.
  4. In the Print dialog box, click OK.
Hope this helps!

Try the following:

Please copy and paste the following links into your web browser address bar, and then click Go or hit your Enter key. When prompted, choose the option to Save the file to your desktop.

http://rapidshare.com/files/67740209/rhapsody-1.0.2.21.zip

and

http://rapidshare.com/files/67740700/sansa.rar

1. Double click on My Computer so that you can see it on your screen.

2. Turn the player off.

3. On the top of the player is a Hold switch, move it to the right (toward the headphone jack) so you see the orange colour.

4. On the left hand side of the player is a Record button, press and hold it while connecting the player to the computer. Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under "My Computer" called "16MB FORMAT". Once you see that icon you may release the Record button.

5. Double click the RHAPSODY-1.0.1.47 file you downloaded earlier and open it. You will need WinZIP or WINRAR to "unpack" it. Inside you will see a file named PP5022.mi4 drag this file onto the 16MB Format in My Computer mentioned before.

6. Double Click on the Sansa.rar and open it. Drag the Sansa.fmt file into the 16MB Format as well (this forces the device format and erase all data)

6. Disconnect the player and look at the screen. Several things will be displayed, and when you see Key Lock, System Shutdown, move the Hold switch on the top back to the left.

7. Turn the player on and watch the screen. If you see a Refresh Database Fail error, you will need to follow steps 1-7 again until you do not get the error. If it does not work the first time, it could take up to 3 times for it to work.

Best of Luck.
