Forgetting your Windows XP login details might at first seem like a disaster. Don't panic though; your login password and username are easily recovered by changing the login details to that of the administrator.
Begin with your computer turned off, and then turn it on. You will need to log in to your computer manually and this can only be done in the load-up screens. Wait until your computer reaches the Windows login screen. The screen usually displays a "Welcome" message. Press and hold the "Ctrl", "Alt" and "Delete" keys two times at the Windows login screen. Your computer will automatically reveal a Classic Login box. Type "Administrator" (without quote marks) into the "Username" field and leave the "Password" field blank. Windows automatically creates an Administrator account when your computer is first booted up; in this account you can alter or change any user's login details. Navigate through the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel." In the Control Panel explorer, double-click on the "User Accounts" icon to open a new window. Select "Change an Account" in the User Accounts window and select the username you want to alter. From here you can edit the user's name and password, but you can also alter the user's picture, account type and .NET password. Restart your computer to login with your new username and password. b>

You have to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds while the power is on. Once it restarts it will be back to factory settings and there will not be any password to connect to it wirelessly. Once connected to it after it has been reset, open internet explorer and where you type in a web address type 192.168.0.1 and hit ENTER. This will either bring you to a log-in screen or to the routers main page. From here you can setup a new WEP or WPA key or just leave it open but then anyone can log-in to your routher and use your internet and get at your computers so I would setup a password. If the log-in screen is asking for a username and password it will be the default ones. The default username is admin, leave the password blank. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Restrt your pc, as soon as it powers on (even before you see anything on the screen), repeatedly tap on F8, that should take you to the advanced boot menu. Choose the option for Safe Mode. Once it boot on safe mode, you'll see another user accound called Administrator. Try logging in to that. It would prompt you to type in a password, if you don't remember setting up a password, just leave the password field blank and see if you can log in, if it doesn't let you log in with a blank password, that means you do have an admin password so try whatever password you might have used. Once you're logged in as admin, You can go to the control panel to remove your user account's password.

By removing password on WINDOWS LOG-I, here a tip on how to remove the password. # Before the windows system boot up press F8 then will appear Windows Configuration command then select SAFE MODE. # Wait until it comes up to the screen and you will see the 2 USERS "ADMINISTRATOR" in "USERNAME". # Go to Control Panel and select USER ACCOUNT. # Click on "USERNAME" then remove the password. # Restart your COMPUTER and the windows system will direct you to the DESKTOP.
Hope this might help you my instructions. Good luck!
try starting in safe mode(press power button like turning on normally then tapping F8 when the screen shows dell on it). choose safe mode. put administrator in as thu username and leave password blank. hopefully it works. if it does get you into the system i think you can go to control panel and then user accounts. you should be able to see the other user names there and you can delete passwords too. then you can restart and log on normally hopefully
