It's a virus that Mcafee can't fix.You can get Spybot search and destroy, and remove it.Just make sure you update and imunize before running.

You can start in safe mode by tapping the F8 key while the computer is starting up.You can do a search for funweb and delete every file your computer finds,But you still need to run a good virus program. The one I suggested earlier is free and works great.

Generic pup.x!cc This one has been giving me DAYS worth of headaches! It seems like when I go into the registry I get most of the problem but not all of it and whatever I am missing reinstalls everything! I have a few different issues ~ one gives me a pop-up bubble with a warning about security components having problems and suggests an "adult" site has been visited. Another is a tracking/redirect one because if I click on a link, it opens another window with a similar product. You can see the referral link in the URL sometimes.

McAfee tells you where it is located. Try to manually delete it. Do it in Safe Mode if necessary.

You can also run a scan in Safe Mode and see if McAfee can delete it while in safe mode.

Post the name of the PUP here and I can give you further instructions.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

    Follow these instructions:

How Do I Remove My Web Search?

First, uninstall the My Web Search option from Add/Remove Programs

    1) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel

    2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs

    3) Find "My Web Search" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it. You may also want to uninstall any of the following items associated with FunWebProducts.

    • My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
    • My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
    • My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
    • My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
    • Search Assistant - My Way

    4) Reboot your Computer and run HijackThis

    5) With HijackThis, scan for and fix any of the entries shown above that may be remaining.

    6) Next, open My Computer, Drive C, and double-click on the Program Files folder

    7) Right-click and delete the folders for:

    • FunWebProducts

    • MyWebSearch

    8) MyWebSearch should now be completely uninstalled from your computer.

    9) There will be some minor registry entries left behind by the uninstall, however these can be cleaned up by running SpyBot Search and Destroy or Ad-Aware SE or left alone.

How do we remove a possibly corrupt file from c:drive?

Unfortunately that error means the hard drive is malfunctioning. If this is being caused due to a virus then I would suggest trying a different virus scanner or use a online scanner to see if it can remove the file.

If this is caused by a drive failure I would recommend try the windows scan disk or error checking tool to see if it can fix or remove the file. To do this follow these instructions.
1) Open Windows Explorer (Windows Key + E)
2) Right click on your C: and select "Properties"
3) Go to "Tools" and click on "Check Now" under Error-checking
4) Check both check boxes and click Start.

Avast finds malware, android agent-BNB [PUP]

Well PUP means potentially unwanted program, this is form mcafee
"PUPs are often made by a legitimate corporate entity for some beneficial purpose, but they alter the security state of the computer on which they are installed, or the privacy posture of the user of the system, such that most users will want to be aware of them."
I am guessing that Mind Games is trying to access some personal information, and Avast is just warning you to that.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Mcafee

Though according to the anti-virus comparatives, McAfee anti-virus rates highly amongst virus scanners in terms of available features, McAfee also have some advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages: - McAfee Antivirus includes many features at decent prices. The protection level is decent enough for most users.

Updates are provided regularly, so that your protection software has the most recent updated virus database in order to provide protection from newly added malicious codes and viruses, and the entire updating and maintenance process happens in the background, without the need for user intervention or interference with the tasks on the computer.

Another advantage of McAfee Antivirus is its simple interface, which gives you quick access to all features. You can easily access its user friendly interface to use it, maintain it, and configure it. One of the main advantages of the program. Compared to other antivirus programs McAfee is relatively cheaper, and finally detection rate, when it comes to detection rate McAfee would still be somewhere at the top of the list. While there may be other programs with better detection rates, McAfee should be sufficient to keep those viruses away.

Disadvantages: - Some tests and comparisons carried out by pointed out McAfee Antivirus as not the fastest antivirus around, because it consumes a lot of memory, whether it's during the scan or real time protection.

Another disadvantage is memory usage during scanning, the full scan duration maybe a long time if the program consumes little memory during scanning you could definitely multi task and eventually complete the scan. Unfortunately though, the memory usage too is a bit too high so you'll have to leave your computer alone until the scan completes.

A New problem I face with mcafee Antivirus 8.5.0.i

I agree. Re imaging or reinstalling the windows operating system seems like the only fix at this point since it seems like the anti virus isn't picking up the virus. Back up the files on an external hard drive and just reinstall windows.

Iam not able complete remove virus from pc

You must boot into Safe Mode after restarting. The virus wont have a chance to load. From there, run the Mcafee scan and delete the viruses. After restart, it should be gone, if not, let me know as there are other methods.
