Question about 2wire 1800HG Router (RG1800HG00)

I have a 2 Wire 1800HG Gateway router (or whatever it is called) this is hooked up to my desktop.....I have a Dell Latitude laptop that I would like to connect wirelessly to this router...how do I do that? I am completely stupid on this, so go slow. Do I need other equipment or do I need to just install something on the laptop in order to connect to the 2 wire?
