Question about Kenmore 44102 Front Load Washer

Kenmore Elite Front Loader

Approximately one month ago the tub had water remain after the spin cycle. We removed the front panel and removed a quarter (.25c) and some other debris. It worked ok ever since...

Now it drains ok... but the following day it is filled up with water. Almost as if someone is adding water when we are not looking. How in the world could that happen? How can water come in when something is turned off?

I am not sure I understand. If I turn off the water at the faucet then what do I check? Is there a fill valve on the hose side of the faucet?

  • dunk428 May 10, 2009

We turned off the water and disconnected the hose. I dont see anything more than the opening to a hose. Do I need to take the unit out in a to an open area and remove a back panel? Can you please be more specific on what I need to do. Thanx.

We took off the top panel. The two water hoses are disconnected. We removed the light blue thingy that had two water hoses attached, two filters and 4 wires. I do not see how we can get it any cleaner than it is. I dont see where there would be a valve. I guess that is what you meant when you said "You can't always take them apart". Not happy. Now what?

Debris can be in the fill valve, jamming it open a little. You can't always take them apart. Turn the water off at the faucet to check. Get new hoses, the filters in the old ones must be bad, and old hoses can blow.

You're making good progress! If you have nut drivers or a small socket set, the tops on the blue thingy might come off. There will be a spring and a piece of metal, don't let them fly. With the hoses removed from the blue thing, clean out the insides of the valves. Or just get a new blue thing, then you know it will be good.

Code F35 on Kenmore Elite HE5t front loader washer.

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

Water pours in on spin cycle

The first thing i would check is your boot around the door for a rip or tear. Also check the drain line for any types of leaks. You can also remove the bottom panel there will be three torx screws and you can look at your drain pump while in spin and drain cycle to see of the leak located in that area.

Hope this helps _MJ_

Front loader

something is restricting the draining of unit either in the drain hose, but most likely in the pump remove the bottom panel and pump is in the middle and have 2 5 gal bucket handy to catch the water when you unscrew the cap to the pump ----- unless you use your wet/dry vac to empty the tub this is the best method then only a small amount of water will remain

Kenmore elite washer problem

sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there

Probably something caught in pump. Remove lower panel if this one has it and you will see the pump. Loosen the round cover in middle to access clean-out.
