Apparently the woman who said to plug in the tv and a gave you a list of other things like that was under the asumption that you were retarded. so if you dont drool or wear a helmet then just pay her post no attention. I have no helpful tips or ideas for your tv but I just wanted to let you know that I dont think you sounded in the least bit "special"

This happened to my TV a year or so ago. It ended up being a capacitor in the power supply. It took the tech about 10 minutes to replace and cost me 400 bucks!! He wouldnt tell me what he replaced, but I be it was a 2.00 part. If you are good with a soldering iron, you might be able to find it and replace it, but if you mess something up, it will cost you. The tuner module was over 700 bucks.

Mine would go off intermittanty, it was the fan on the motherboard not letting the tv come on.I replaced it with one from my computer.

Check to make sure it is plugged in, and try the front panel POWER button.
• Check the wall receptacle (and extension cord, if applicable) to make sure it is “live” by plugging in something else.
• Maybe remote control is not aimed at remote sensor.
• Unplug. Wait five minutes. Plug in again.

TRY DOING THIS... GOODLUCK!!!1

Buzz in headphone output

I would check your ground, power strip, and other electronics attached to the power strip or plugged directly to the wall socket.

If you have RGB or input that doesn't have all of the wires plugged in then the exposed end could be the cause of the buzzing.

Rca l26wd23 will not turn on, screen remains blank.

TVs today are becoming similar to computers and use hardware and software to deliver the picture and the sound. Similar to how a computer can lock-up and then you have to re-boot, TVs sometimes have problems that you can fix by resetting, or rebooting, them. To reset your TV, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, power strip, etc. Keep your TV unplugged for about 5 minutes. Then, plug the TV back in, turn the TV on, and see if the problem is fixed. If the problem remains, then please contact RCA Customer Support using the Support link in the top navigation on this page.

No picture (black screen); making popping/crackling sound

there is a possibility that the semiconductor in power supply side damaged due to electrical surge. more likely the STR IC of Diodes.

Try plugging it into the wall direct. Sometimes if you have it plugged into a power strip with all kinds of other electronics like your DVD, XBOX, SOUND SYSTEM, Etc. it may not have enough surge power to start up.

it sounds like you may have a bad power supply. Before you do anything else try pulling the power on the tv then plug it back in. Also if it is on a power strip try plugging it directly in the wall, you mar have a bad power strip. Try a different electrical outlet if it plugged dirrectly in the wall.
