Question about Sony Handycam DCR-HC30 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
The camera was fine, I hadn't used it in eight months or so. Now that I needed to record something, I put in in tape mode, and the image it's getting looks as if it had a scratched texture on it, and a thin black line that moves horizontally across the screen and the part above that line looks gray. The camera hadn't been dropped or hit, so I have no idea of whats wrong with it.
I just found a website that says they will fix it for free within the U.S. The site is http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DCRHC30&news_id=161
My camera did the same thing and I went to Sony service online and they pointed me to this site.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
