Problems adding files onto the hardrive

Everytime I try to add files onto the hardrive it says "Iomega HDD cannot be modified" I can take my files off and put them on my computer but cant add anything. I am using a mini mac.

This sounds as though the Iomega has got locked somehow.
Do a get info on its desktop icon and have a look at the lock checkbox. Also look at the write permissions while you are there.
