Question about Memorex MMP8640 Digital Media Player
It charges when you plug it into a USB 2.0 port on your computer when you plug it in to put the music on it with the supplied cord. Leave it plugged in for awhile it will charge it right up automatically. If you have an old computer that only has USB 1.0 it won't work, and you'll need to charge it on a different computer. Oh by the way the computer has to be on for the USB ports to have power.

I tried this, followed the manual, made sure the player is unlocked, I have a new system and it is USB 2.0 and it recognized it the first time but when I plug it in, screen comes on for a few seconds and it shuts off and refuses to charge at all.. have been unable to use it a single time. I have backlight powerdown set to off and other power settings to off so it does not hibernate.. any other ideas?
