Remove and clean all of the wheels, and make sure the cliff sensors under the bumper are clean. Tap the bumper with your hand-- really smack it a couple of times. It sounds like the Scooba believes it's stuck against an obstacle.

My scooba 5800 has a problem. When i push the power button, and hen the cleant button, he makes ~1 circle, stops, turns again, stops, goes backwards, stops, and then goes backwards and stops until he is on a wall

    the right answer is:

    I've found the problem !!!

On the picture of the Tachymeter system, the first cable (brown, on the pin number 3), didn't make contact anymore. There was oxydation on the contact. I had to soldier it again.

Starts out backwards, then circles ,then stops. and repeats

Remove all three wheels and make sure they're clean. Tap the bumper with your hand, and maybe blow out behind it with compressed air. If the problem continues, call us-- it's in the wheel motors, most likely. 1-877-855-8593.

Backward spinning roomba

If you are lucky then one of the 4 sensors under the bumper has dust lint buildup. Blow out these areas and give your unit a good cleaning. If it still continues to do this then the bumper bar sensor should be replaced

Scooba won't turn on

It sounds like you've got a finicky power button. Not a lot that can be done about that, but you may want to try getting your hands on the old-style Roomba remote, the black one. The power button from that will power on a Scooba, though you can't start a cleaning cycle that way. This might allow you to bypass the Scooba's power button altogether.

I cant open my scooba

If you haven't used the scooba before or if it has been a long time, the pump may need to be primed.  Go to irobot and do a search for how to do this.  I also had difficulty opening my scooba.  Press down with the palm of your hand on the back silver plate as you push down on the silver release handle.  This worked for me.

Scooba

Ensure that the front caster can spin freely, pivot, and rotate. Remove the caster by pulling it out and clear any dirt. Reinsert the wheel and lightly push the wheel up and down

I have a Kenmore upright beltless that suddenly, the brush stopped spinning. Do you have an answer for this?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. On the Kenmore upright the belt is broken and needs replacing and you can take it to Sears / Kenmore or a local vac dealer and they can change it for you or you can attempt to do it yourself, usually it just takes a screwdriver and either a flat or a geared belt for less than $10.00 to $15.00 is an estimate.
