my printer has a job waiting that i cant cancel. I have tried turning the printer off, restarting my computer, going into the printer from the control panel and canceling all documents. Ive even tried to delete the printer from the computer but it wont let me do anything. It just says "deleting" next to the item. It wont let me print any other documents either. Any help would be much appreciated!

Make sure you go to the computer that the printer is connected to ( if shared ! )
Go into printer folder, double click on the printer, and you should see the "job"...Your printer can be turned off while doing this, but once you found the job, the printer has to be on to delete the job.
If you shut printer off, it might not let you delete it !

The printer is printing and I can t cancel job, tried on off cancel button everything

Hey Surprise,
Trying turning the printer off and disconnecting it from the computer and from electricity for a few minutes (that should reset any print jobs stored in it's memory). In the mean while, check the computer for pending print jobs, and if necessary - cancel them.
Good luck!

I tried to cancel printing jobs once in progress and had no succe

Printers will hold the documents in the memory of the printer. Windows holds the documents until they are received by the printer.
Go to the printer and cancel the job, then open the printer by double clicking on it in Printer and Faxes (if in XP) and cancel the document from the menu while the document is highlighted. (document, cancel)
A trick I have used is to remove the paper from the printer, wait until the last sheet is printed and turn off the printer. Windows will pop up with an error that includes cancel the print job.

HP Laserjet M2727nf Mfp. How to do cold reset? M2727 not working after microprogram update.

Turn off printer. Hold the CANCEL and > buttons, and turn on printer. When you see Permanent Storage Init release the two buttons. When the process completes you will see the ready message. This will reset ALL menu settings. If you screwed up the firmware update, you will have to replace the formatter. The NVRAM reset won't help you!!!

Printer stopped working after I cancelled a print job

Turn off your printer and completely unplug the USB cable (from both the printer and the computer). Next check if the stopped document or the later documents are in the print spooler queue. If you can cancel all documents from the queue, do so. Otherwise: from Start Run (or the command prompt)
type: net stop spooler [enter]
then type: net start spooler [enter]

This works in XP and older MS Operating Systems but I've never tried it in Vista.

If you only enter the first command, you need to reboot the computer and then take a long coffee break after logging in before trying to print again.

Hi, I had weird languge can even read it? What do we do?

I'm guessing you mean the printer is printing out random characters. Cancel the job on PC, and the unplug power cord from printer and wait a bit. This is to erase any print jobs stored in its memory. Plug it back in and turn it on.

Printing status frozen and won't delete or print

Have you tried unpluging your printer from the computer as well as unpluging the printer from the electrical? If that doesn't work you should start from scratch... that is remove the printer from the computer memory, delete it, turn off the computer, turn on the computer and go through the installation process as if you just purchased the printer. Barring any mechanical problems as in jams or the such, the printer should return to operational status.

Problem with my fax Machine MFC 420CN

You can cancel a fax job that is stored and waiting in the memory.
1 For MFC-210C,
press Menu/Set, 2, 5.
For MFC-420CN,
press Menu/Set, 2, 6.
Any jobs that are waiting will appear on the LCD.
2 If you have more than one job waiting, press ▲ or ▼ to select the
job you want to cancel.
Press Menu/Set.
—OR—
If you only have one job waiting, go to Step 3.
3 Press 1 to cancel.
To cancel another job go to Step 2.
—OR—
Press 2 to exit without canceling.
4 Press Stop/Exit.

That should do it for clearing faxes you dont need you can also print off all the faxes in the memory and I believe that clears it.
Enjoy,
Lee
