Make sure you are in the correct user profile. If you are not using the live account that you downloaded it from it wont work.

yes, open the hard drive using a small-sized Torx bit watch out there is a hidden screw under the warrant sticker, u will then have aces to the hard drive, just swap them

Alright guys, I thought that there weren’t enough decent tutorials/guides for making backups of your Xbox 360 games, so I decided to put one together myself. I figured that after burning 13 DVD+R DL coasters that I’d be a good guy and help other people form making the same mistake, so here goes.

Required Items
Before we start lets see what we all need:
1) A DVD-drive which can be easily taken apart
2) Your original xbox360 game
3) Data/Movie DVD which is at least 8 gigabyte in size
4) Philips screwdriver to open your DVD-drive
5) Last but not least, some patience

Required Software
1) WxRipper can be found in the 360-hq Downloads area here
2) XBOX360 SS Merger v1.6 here

I had this very same problem and after transferring the licenses I was able to play the songs again. This was ONE GIANT PAIN IN THE **** too. As for Microsoft Support, they do not do it because when you sent in your console for repair it did not have the hard drive, so it is up to the customer.

take the hard drive off of the old xbox and put it on the new one and get a memory unit and put all the game saves on the memory unit put the new hdd on and transfer the saved games from the memory unit on to the new hard drive and there you go.

there should be an option at the main menu called downloaded content. Then you have to tell it which storage device to look in for the songs. this is usually the main hard drive.

Ok i know how to solve your problem. First you must go on the xbox sit and download or buy and update disc. Then put it in your xbox and follow the on screen instructions.

You can only download from the XBOX Live marketplace to your 360 console
