Can't pick up any radio stations

I just purchased a Kenwood KDC-MP242 radio and after installation I am not able to pick up any radio stations, with the exception of 2. This was installed in a 2000 Nissan Maxima replacing an older Kenwood radio. The old radio worked, but now nothing from the new one

Please make sure that Antenna cable is plugged properly at back of newly installed radio as antenna is necessary to receive radio signal. Without external antenna, radio won't receive signal to process.
Thanks.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Kenwood kdc-mp242 main sceen doesnot light up anymore or when it wants to,radio work well

you probably have bad solder connections on some surface mount resistors inside of the radio. they would be on the right side of the radio as it is facing you. they need to be resoldered.

Kenwood kdc mp242, no sound, ford explorer, 94

if that ford had premium sound you have either not hooked up the factory amp or you have blown a fuse to it. you won't get sound unless that amp is hooked up.

New kenwood kdc-mp242 installed turns on but no sound

The Blue/White wire, Brown wire, and Blue wire???? These don't have to be connected unless you are using a separate Power Amp...if you are, then the Blue/White wire needs to be used to switch on the power amp. Here is a link to Kenwood for your KDC-MP242 Instruction Manual. Reference page 16.

Very weird Radio Tuning Problem

This is a USA model and by default in the USA all FM stations end in an Odd number. This is completely normal. you can try holding preset 1 and 5 down while pressing the reset button on the unit and it may allow you to switch to a Europe style of tuning.
