If your ford has a premium sound system it may have 2 different fuses-i know you said that you already checked it but-just in case dont get mad ok-if that doesnt work then get ready to do some magic -pull the cover panel off the front of the dash just give it a good lil tug and it should wiggle out- disconnect wiring harnesses from the panel and remove it enough to get at the radio-use brute strength or a screwdriver to release the side locks on the radio unit and slide it out -there should be 2 clips that plug in to the rear of the unit there -make sure that you have solid connections there and try the power again

My 2004 Ford Escapes radio wont work and it doesnt let me lock my doors when the car isnt running it also doesnt ding when the car doors are open. what is happening?

Hello Al,

Does your dash display a flashing "service soon" indicator?
Have you checked for fault codes?

You have a good battery, your ignition switch is powering up the vehicles dash board and the vehicle will start and operate normally....?

Any lights on the radio display?
Check for 12 volts on the radio power lead...no power? check for 12 volts across the accessory / radio position in the fuse box. No power but fuse is good...wiring issue in the harness.

Power across fused circuit no power to radio check radio's in line fuse...fuse good? ... radio bad or disconnected speaker wires.

Make sure all your vehicles grounding positions are clean and tight.

When you say your door locks don't work are your talking about the switch on the door or the remote fob?

Check your owners manual to check for any radio reset info.

1998 ford explorer radio does'nt work switch on sterrein wheel broke.how to fix it ?no power to the radio

You can't turn it on by the switch on the radio ? Nothing showing on the radio display ? If not check these fuses
Blown central junction box (CJB) Fuse 1 (7.5A), Fuse 20 (7.5A), Fuse 28 (7.5A), and Fuse 29 (25A) . The switch on the steering wheel should not stop the radio from being turned on at the radio !

There are 2 fuses, 1 in the main fuse box and 1 on the back of the radio! Have you checked both?

No power to radio pontiac grand am 2004

Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? Following wiring diagrams , checking B+ voltage at different points along the circuit . Did you use a interface module with the aftermarket radio ? The GM radio is hooked to the class 2 serial data network . Your best bet , take it to a qualified installer .

2002 Ford F250 Super Crew V10 driving down the road today and my radio dies, no clock, nothing, so I try all the other electronics and power windows won't work. I checked fuses for continuity and all...

this may help bud, circuits are related, instrument cluster microproce, to acc. relay, to windows and radio...check underhood fuses(central junc. box) real good. I had a few of these in with shorts left footwell(driver's side) below e-brake area, under carpet. Fuse 41 10amp was the one on my end.

Your tuner memory wire also powers your dome light. See if it comes on. Replace fuse

Radio does not turn on. the clock shows, the light

The memory wire of the radio,(the power for the clock and channel settings) is usually connected to the same circuit as the cigarette lighter. (there is a seperate fuse for radio) Check your cigarette lighter socket for damage or dirt, etc. could be causing the memory fuse to blow. Also check your cig lighter accesories (like cell phone chargers, etc.)

P.S. The backlight is also a seperate circuit (connected to interior light/parking light circuit)

Radio lights off on 1998 ford explorer

1 -Check your head light switch and turn signal switch by taping them lightly - Common problem with fords to short signal light switch/head lights and they also have radio lights/clock lights control(lights dim for Radio/clock when you turn the lights on)

If you have checked all the fuses and switchs, possible that the light bulbs have burned out. Check with a local radio repair shop and they can remove the radio and install new bulbs.
