Phone does not ring

When I am on line 1 (in use), and a call comes in on line 2 the phone does NOT ring. (I do hear the alerter tone.. annoying) but I want the phones to ring instead. I tried turning off the alerter signal but the phone STILL does not ring when on another line talking.  Help PLEASE

We have the same problem although there are times that none of the lines ring even if no one is on another line. We have unplugged, tried to get help from RCA and Office Max many times with no luck and basically have given up and glance to make sure the lights are not flashing indicating an incoming phone.

Without taking another look at the manual, the last time I read it I remember this is a feature, not a problem. The phone, if it is in use on any line, will not ring audibly when a call come in on another line (but will beep - after the second ring, I think - so that only you can hear it).

The presumption is that you do not want your party on the other end to be distracted by hearing a phone ringing that's only three feet away from your handset, AND that there will be someone else in the next office to pick up the incoming call.

As far as none of the phones ringing for an incoming call, I had some small difficulties with phone mis-behavior because I was using 50-foot phone cords when 7-foot was long enough. That didn't make sense to me, but when I shortened the phone cords from phone to wall, almost all the little problems went away.

Make sure you haven't silenced the ringer on the other lines.

Why my nokia C3 doesnt ring accordingly although i set the ring tone already?its only vibrate.i'm not using silent mode.

I can imagine it how annoying it would be to you to see your cell vibrating instead of playing your favorite ring tone. Most probably it could be because of incorrect Profile configuration. It is possible to make your phone vibrate in almost every profile so we will assume that it is the reason for your problem too. Do the following and check some parameters as described.

1. Go to Menu > Settings > Profiles
2. Select Profile and then Select General.
3. After selecting General you will be given 3 options (Activate, Personalize, Timed)
4. Select Personalize.
5. In the Incoming Call Alert field, select Ringing.
6. In the Ringing Tone field, select your favorite ring tone.
7. Scroll down, (push down button) the next field would be Ringing Volume. For now select the max.
8. Scroll down to the Vibrating Alert field and set it to Off.
9. Scroll further down thill the very last field where it says Alert For, select All Calls for this field.
10. Save your modifications.
11. Activate the profile and see if it works now.

Only and only If it doesn't work, it may be due to software corruption.
In that case reset your phone to the factory default settings by going to:
Menu > Settings > Press UP button.
Select Restore Factory Sett. give your Security Code (default = 12345) and viola.
(Make backup of your messages ad contacts before attempting this)

How do I adjust the volume, too LOUD?

Hello jinniq51,

i have some tips on how to do it hope it helps :D

Settings
In this menu, you can adjust various phone
settings. To reset some menu settings to their
default values, select Restore factory set.
Tone settings
Select Menu > Settings > Tone settings and from the available
options:
Ringing tone-To set the tone for incoming calls
Ringing volume-To set the volume level for the ringing and
message alert tones. If you set Ringing volume to be level 2 or
above, your phone rings with the ringing volume ascending
from level 1 to the level you have set when there is an
incoming call.
Vibrating alert-To set the phone to vibrate when you receive a
call or a text message
Message alert tone-To set the tone to sound when you receive
a text message
Warning tones-To set the phone to sound tones, for example,
when the battery is running out of power

I have a motorola RAZR and the speaker doesn't work can it be changed?

Yes it can, but you'll need pricision tools to open it.

FYI: Speaker is used so that you can hear the other person from the other line talking.

Buzzer is used to hear your cellphone ringing, alert tones, alert tone messages, even making some music.

So in short Speaker is different from the buzzer.
