Question about Dell Dimension E510 PC Desktop

Sound Problems So earlier, i was'nt getting any sound whatsoever. I checked my device manager and noticed that one of the sound devices had a yellow( ! ) right next to. Knowing that it was a plug & play device, i uninstalled it, then tryed to reinstall. Sure enough it showed up, and i installed. But i still had no sound. I went back to try reinstall again, but this time it didn't show up. To make matters worse, i also dont remember the name of it so i can't search around for it. Any ideas on how i can get some sound goin on my computer??

Download the softwares like drivermagic 1.1.4 and install it and search your pc for hardwares not installed. You can find the name of the soundcard.then search for the drivers with that name.Note its a trial version software only

SOURCE: No Sound

When you un-install anythig take your computer into "safe mode" to uninstall when you re start windows will find the hard ware and re-install it. You should have a disk with drivers on it that came with your computer. Find it and re-install your sound drivers

No sound whatsoever

Depending on the Windows version you have, you can try a few things, but start by checking the Device Manager to see if the sound device is installed and working.

There is audio problem.......it is nt working....

check the device manager, right click on my computer-click properties - select the hardware tab- click on device manager-
scroll down to where your sound devices are listed:
If there is a yellow ! or ? next to them they are installed incorrectly or corrupted and will need to be reinstalled.
If they are tagged as "other devices" they will need to be uninstalled and then reinstalled.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not...

this problem happens when sound driver is nt installed or nt installed properly

in this case if the driver is installed then uninstall it from control panel restart pc and then install the driver again

after istalling driver restart ur pc

this will definitely work
and if not then uninstall driver restart pc
right click on my computer

then on properties - hardware tab - device manager

check out here any device marked by yellow icon right click on it and then select install or update driver and new hardware wizard opens select install from internet and thats all ur problem will be solved

Sound card will not work cant get sound

Try removing the card from the unit and reboot without card.
After the reboot, check your device manager for flags or exclamation marks. Or the phase " unknown Device "
If found remove them and reboot unit.
Remove any external devices such as external CD DVD drives, Flash cards or wireless devices.
After the reboot, check your device manager again to assure that you have no problems.
Shut down unit and re-install your card. Restart unit and it should load the correct drivers for the card or give you a can't find drivers message.
Check your audio and see if you notice a difference.
If not, replace the audio card.
