Question about Xerox Phaser 8400 Laser Printer
We have recently moved office and have brought our exisiting computers and Network accross.
When we go to Add Printers, the phaser appears in the box but for some reason cannot be added as it says the network address is invalid.
When the IP address shown is pinged, it returns all data and the Xerox page can be seen when the IP address is typed into explorer.
It is necessary for the first octet (three didgits) of the IP address to be the same for the printer and the router. Thus, it is necessary to change the IP address of the printer. See the setup instructions how to do that.

Have you tried just reinstalling from original Xerox CD. This worked for us in a similiar situation.
