WHEN I COME BACK TO STANDBY MODE FROM ANY PROGRAM ,A MSG APPEARS THAT "THE WINDOWS HAS CLOSED THIS PROGRAM TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR SYSTEM".IF I CLICK THE CLOSE BUTTON THE NEXT MSG APPEARS TO"SEND ERROR REPORT" TO MICROSOFT.AFTER CLOSING THAT MSG MY DESKTOP'S ICONS REFRESH AND ALL THE RUNNING PROGRAMS CLOSE.THEN I HAVE TO REOPEN THAT PROGRAM.SOMETIMES IT FREEZES MY SYSTEM.THEN I HAVE TO RESTART MY PC. HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM? THANKS JERRY.

The coffee system must be descaled regularly. The time period depends on
the water hardness set. The appliance will display a reminder message and
will eventually lock if not descaled. The message window will first display:
"DESCALE AFTER COFFEES: 100".
This message will appear until the appliance is descaled or locks. When
the count is down to zero, the appliance will lock and the message
window displays: The appliance can only be used again
once descaling has been performed. Let the machine cool before
descaling. Remove the sleeve of the steam nozzle to avoid damage from
the descaling agent. Only use the enclosed descaling tablets for descaling.
The descaling tablets are specially designed for descaling this coffee
system. Other agents may damage the machine and affect the taste of
the coffee and hot water. The descaling tablets can be purchased
from Miele.
To prevent damage to the exterior of the machine wipe up any descaling
solution spills immediately! Add 2 liters of water to the water tank. Dissolve two of the enclosed
descaling tablets in the water.

^ Close the door. The descaling will take place in the
automatic descaling program.

Is a 64-bit windows compatible version available?


The Windows® Vista Program Compatibility Wizard can allow older programs that were not designed for use with Windows® Vista to run on Windows® Vista.

The Program Compatibility Wizard prompts you to test the program in different modes (environments) and with various settings. For example, if the program was originally designed to run on Windows® XP, set the compatibility mode to Windows® XP and try running the program again. If successful, the program will start in that mode each time. The wizard also allows the use of different settings, such as switching the display to 256 colors and the screen resolution to 640 x 480 pixels.

To run the Program Compatibility Wizard, complete the steps below:
  1. Close all programs and windows and return to the desktop.
  2. Click the Start button on the Windows® taskbar. The Start Menu will appear.
  3. Click on Control Panel. The Control Panel window will appear.
  4. Click on Programs. Additional program options will display.
  5. In the Programs and Features section click the link Use An Older Program With This Version of Windows. The Program Compatibility Wizard will launch.
  6. Click Next to Continue.
  7. Click the “I want to choose from a list of programs” radio button and click Next. A list of programs will display.
  8. Select the program that is to run in a Compatibility Mode and click Next to continue. A list of Compatibility Modes will display.
  9. Click the radio button next to the desired Compatibility Mode and click Next. A list of display settings will display.

  10. Choose the desired display settings and click Next to continue. Administrator privilege options will display.
  11. Choose the desired administrator privilege setting and click Next to continue. A Test Your Compatibility Settings window will display.
  12. Verify that the settings are correct. And click Next to continue.

    NOTE: If the settings are not correct, click the Back button to return to the previous screen (or screens) and make the necessary changes.

  13. With the correct settings selected and showing in the "Test Your Compatibility Settings" window, click Next. The selected program will launch.
  14. Run the program to test the settings.
  15. After testing the settings, or close the program to return to the Program Compatibility Wizard.

    NOTE: After the program is closed, a window with the question "Did the program work correctly?" will appear. The "Yes. Set this program to always use these compatibility settings" will be selected.

  16. If the program functioned properly using the compatibility mode that was selected above click Next. The Program Compatibility Data window will open.

My desktop has msg: problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage. Give steps to do but ultimately goes right back to this error. Can't rebook with CD, can't go to safe mode,...


As per your issue since you cannot boot to safe mode or last known good configuration.probably your Operating system file is corrupted.Tried to boot from OS xp media or vista and try to repair the operating system.Change the boot sequence to boot from cd in the bios.

  • DEP help's prevent damage from visuse's and other security threat's that attack memory location's on your pc, by default (DEP is turned on for essential window's program's and service's only, it may be possible DEP has been turned on for all program's and service's except those you select, you can check this setting by,
  • going to the control panel,
  • click on system,
  • under the system propertie's box click the advanced tab,
  • in the advanced tab click setting's under performance,
  • from there you will get a performance option's box,
  • at the top to the right there will be a tab that say's Data Execution Prevention, click the tab.
  • from there it should be set to essential window's program's and service's only, this is the default setting.

Hi. I'm Azrul from Malaysia. Your windows installation might be corrupted and the system files might have been modified by a virus. Here is a possible solution for you:

Insert your Windows XP Setup disk in the CD rom drive. Set your boot priority to the cd rom. Wait for the option to repair your Windows XP installation. Do not format or reinstall. Just repair.

Computer does not stay in hibernation or standby mode


That happen because on the stand by or hibernate setting the time was setting in 5 minutes.
Go to Control Panel >> Display >> Screen Saver >> Power

And set the time right there as your preferences.

It means the driver for your video card is not allowing the system to enter standby (power save mode). This is an information message and is not a big error unless you really need to be in standby.

You have 2 possible solutions:

1) Scour the internet looking for and updated driver. These may work: http://drivers.s3graphics.com/en/download/drivers/legacy/Savage4_394-398/84002w2ks3agplogo.zip

2) Disable system standby in windows: In control pane, select power options, then unselect the option for system standby.

Which edition of Windows Vista am I using? Windows might close a program and then notify you if it determines that the program is either a security risk or incompatible with this version of Windows.
When Windows closes a program because of a security risk, it is because some programs might use your computer's random access memory (RAM) in a way that could be exploited by a virus and harm your computer. Data Execution Prevention (DEP), a security feature of Windows, tracks how programs use memory. If DEP finds memory being used incorrectly, DEP will close the program and let you know.
