Question about Dewalt DW824 5" Electric Angle Grinder
The grinder stopped working abruptly, I checked voltage coming in to switch..120V checked continuity across switch, opens and closes. looked at brushes, is one brush supposed to have a spring loaded contact coming out the bottom where it contacts the armature? the other brush is slightly rounded from contact with armature and appears that the entire brush makes contact. never looked at these when they were not any problems!!!! any ideas? thanks
You need new brushes. carbon is meant to be touching the armature not the contact from the spring. Its worn down
