Your air filter does have some oil on them, too help keep out dust and small particles, but if it is getting on it not from you but from running it check for blow by , that is basically compression pushing oil, gas, etc back up thre the carb

My lawnmower is fuming when i start it. what is causing it?

Is the air filter clean? Dirty air filter creates a vacuum sucking too much gas.
Is the choke not working properly?
It it's black smoke it's burning too much gas.
If it's blue smoke it's oil. If it's oil smoke did you over fill when you put oil in.
Over filling the oil will cause it to smoke.
Bad piston rings will cause the oil to burn also.

2001 Road Glide fuel injection-oil coming out of air filter lots of it but only when it get hot. it is not over filled. k&m filter

When was the last time the air filter was serviced. It should be cleaned every service interval. 1k, 2500, 5k, 7500, 10k etc.... They tend to get full around the time of the services, sometimes a little sooner. But that is normal since the motor mists oil through the heads into the filter. If you clean it keep track of how fast it fills up to determine if it's too much oil or just normal.

Oil comes out of my air filter

Two possabilitys here, either it has been over filled with oil, or more likley it has been tipped up, when tipped oil will travel up the crankcase breather and into the back of the filter housing, if the paper filter is now soaked with oil it will have to be replaced.

Troy built mower honda 160 engine oil leak around governer shaft. no oil seal but shows one on parts breakdown. Can not find part number for shown seal.

Drain oil from mower until proper level. Remove spark plug and pull starter rope several times to blow out cylinder. Spray starter fluid in cylinder pull rope several times to clean out. Replace fouled plug with new spark plug. Remove air cleaner, ensure no oil present, replace filter as needed. Clean air filter box with carb cleaner. Install new air filter reattach filter cover. Prime engine, pull starter rope 1/2 way 4 times to help prime, then pull starter rope fully up to 10 times to start.

Mower thoughing oil while it is running then chokes out

If the mower has been tipped up oil will now have entered the air filter box and soaked the paper air filter, remove the filter and run the engine to see if the oil burns away and the engine runs normally, do not over fill the engine with oil, fill only to the max mark on the dip stick.

What does a major tune up for a 2004 chevy impala consist of? What should be done and needs to be done?

New spark plugs, oil and oil filter, transmission flush and fill, fuel filter, air filter, coolant flush and fill, clean throttle body plate and bore, clean the MAF sensor, replace any loose or cracked vacuum lines, PCV valve, new air filter, new battery.

99% of the time all you should ever need for a tune up is new spark plugs, and a clean air filter and throttle body. But since your inquiry indicated "major" I gave it more critical thought.

2003 honda shadow spirit vt750 carb problem

buddy dont worry about it what you have done is put to much oil inside the engine and as the piston goes down it cause abit off pressure which in the small space it has when you over filled it the pressure inside has just forced the oil out the breather into the air box just give it a little clean and drop oil aswell bud

Over filled oil yzf 450

Open the air box, clean it from extra oil, renew the air filter if you have to and without the air box-air filter (or opened) try to start the bike while sraying with a carb cleaner spray through the air box towards the carbs.Don't spray too much.Little bit each time and do not twist the gas grip.Choke it too if you want.It may help.Of course before all that set the oil level to normal.
