Battery hi, umm i plug in my hdd1630 in the charger for the recommended 4 hours of charge. but after about 2 hours the battery indicator shows the batter is full, but i leave it on until the four hours are up. after that it seems as if the player plays for about four hours only. after that it says that the batter is almost out and needs to be replaced. can someone please help me with this problem?

Re: Battery

Uhm.. Do you plug it up to your computer to charge? Mine is old and dies after about two hours.. I know I need to replace. But in it's old age I guess (Bought from ebay) it won't charge connect to my computer.. So, maybe if you haven't tried already, to try that. Though, sounds like it's getting old like mine and will need a new battery soon.

My ematic wont will not work unless its on the charger

Hi, what causes the ematic won't will not work unless its on the chargeris because the battery cell powering your Mp3 player is too weak to power up the Mp3 player.

That's why when you plug in the charger it powers on , but can not charge up the battery because the battery cell is down..

When you replace the battery, make sure you charge battery for a list 4 to 6 hours before use, cause a new battery comes with a factory battery power of about 50to 60 %, but not up to100%.

So for the cells in the battery to function properly, you will need to charge battery to100% full.

Thanks for using fixya....

Battery won't charge

If the device charges when connected to the computer directly, then the battery is ok. If that's the case, are you using the charger that came with the iPod? Earlier chargers (2004, 2005ish) will not charge newer iPods.

60 GB iPod won't recharge

probably, when you replaced the battery, you didn't properly inserted its contact to the board connector, so just open the ipod again and re-install it, make sure it's all the way down into connector

Screen says battery is full, but wont turn on

I read somewhere that even with a functional lyra, when it displays "battery full", you should keep charging for another hour. This is said to extend battery life and give you an extra 2-3 hours of power. Either this is perfectly normal, or it indicates that the battery reading tends to be inaccurate. In any case, try leaving it charging even after it gives you the message. Another thing to consider is, how long has it been in the box? I'm not sure about lithiums, but most rechargeables I know live longer when used. Live it alone for too long and you shorten it's life. Could be good to get a second opinion on this battery thing though. If there's a warranty, don't let it waste. Good luck
