Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
In attempting to replace the daisy wheel (Smith-Corona 100), I find that the "slot" referred to in the instruction manual is obstructed by the brass-like spindle that is supposed to go into the center of the daisy wheel. It would seem that the ribbon deck mechanism should be movable or re-movable but I don't see anything that could change it's position, or a way to take it out. Can y ou tell me how to adjust the "slot"?
There should be a silver tab like button you can push down to change the position of the carrier; but my problem is getting the plastic piece to fit back in there correctly after I took it out. Tried to operate without it and it will not work.
