Here you go buddy:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?PRODTYPE=45&NAVDISP=homeav

Look at the middle where it says Connectivity then click on the second red arrow where it says Sony Hookup/Connection.  Then just choose what type of system you got.

I cannot hear any sound from my Dell monitor 1702FP. Are there speakers installed within the monitor?. VGA cable is connected. When I use a spare monitor using the VGA cable the sound is loud and clear. ...

The Dell 1702FP doesn't have speakers. The specs of the Dell 1702FP are available here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/1702fp/en/specs.htm . (BTW neither does the Dell 1704FPT.) However, some Dell monitors can have a sound bar (speaker set-up) mounted on the monitor.

VGA cables don't carry sound. Check if a second cable (an audio patch cable is connected to the computer and the second monitor). (There are some cables that actually bundle the 3.5 mm patch cable with the video cable for convenience. (I've seen a number of DVI cables with that bundle option.) The plugs will separate into separate units at each end.

Other monitors do have speakers built in - look for a 3.5 mm audio input jack with the rest of the input connections on your monitor. There are some monitors that accept an HDMI input with a 3.5 mm audio out jack; these monitors don't have speakers and thus are enabling a daisy chain to connect the speakers to the monitor. So you do need to be careful and look for the audio in label.

You can attach a set of speakers to your computer using the audio out (look for a lime green 3.5 mm jack on the back of a desktop). For laptops or to use the front audio ports, look for a headphone jack.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with more information about your monitor and computer for additional assistance.

I cannot hear any sound from my speaker even though my speakers are alright it always says i do not have an installed sound device please help me

Hi, you need to install your motherboard's audio driver. To do so, just go to your motherboard's brand official site, and find your exact model. There you will be able to download the proper audio driver and, after installing them, your speakers will work like a charm! Hope it helped, Franz

Hi i have an issue with the sound after installing windows 7 on my computer .I have 5.1 creative speakers where only 2 speakers and subwoofer is working and rest of the speakers are not working ......

You'll need (it sounds like) to manually install the driver for Windows 7 for your sound card. This link will take you to the C-Media download page for the driver.

Hope that's helpful.

Steps to be followed:
1. check whether audio driver is installed properly ? if not install audio driver & check
2. check audio setting in control panel & confirm
3. connect external speaker in laptop and check whether sound is coming? if sound is coming then ur laptop internal speaker need replacement
4. if there is no sound in external speaker then need to check ur motherboard or sound card.

NO SOUND FROM MY RIGHT SPEAKER Z4

Open
Startmenu->control panel->sound and audio devices
Do you see a window which says "no audio devices installed" ?

  • If yes then its a driver problem, you need to install audio driver for your PC.
  • if no then, click on "Speaker volume button" below, then click "restore defaults" button.
This should fix the problem.
Otherwise I would suggest some more.

AUDIO PROBLEM

Some of the newer machines will not let usb speakers work unless they have their own power. Some require speakers to have a default power system.(110 V.) You may Require a install cd if your speaker are the more expensive speakers with surround sound. You need to check the specs on your speakers.
