Try replacing the power supply(SMPS) with a working one of the same capacity to check it. If its not the power supply & if have your bootable XP CD then just repair the existing installation. Post your comment after doing these 2 changes and post the results so that if any further problem can be addressed to...........sodeep

Blue screen unable to restart windows10

A stop error (also called a "blue screen" error) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. When you experience this type of error, you won't be able to see things like the Start menu or the taskbar on the screen when your PC is turned on. Instead you might see a blue screen with a message that your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart.

If you see a stop error while you are upgrading to Windows 10, setup will automatically go back to your previous version of Windows.

If the error continues, try to fix it by removing software or hardware.

Keep on restarting

Chances are that if your machine keeps restarting, it is crashing with a "blue screen of death" and the bios is set to restart when that happens. Unfortunately, that doesn't allow you to get a clue as to why it is happening..

Usually, you can keep tapping the F8 key (you know, the one for safe boot) and there is usually an option to disable auto restart. This won't fix your problem, but at least you will get to see the blue screen and look at the diagnostic message to find out what is causing the crash

Sometimes,,when I open my pc,,there is a blue screen appeared after the windows xp logo and it restarts again after a few seconds..you cannot read the error because it restart fast

Hi,

Follow the steps below to capture the blue screen error code.

1. Turn the computer on.
2. Keep tapping F8.
3. On the Advance Boot Menu, use the arrow keys to select Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure.
4. Press Enter.

The next time that the blue screen shows up, it will be paused and you can get the error code. Let us know what type of error code you are getting and we will be more than happy to help you out.

Thank you for visiting FixYa!

Netbook turns on blue screen appears but doesn't give enough time to read what it says and then restarts continuously

Hi there!
You can follow this simple steps so that you can determine the exact blue screen error that you are getting.
Start the computer and keep pressing the F8 key. It will lead you to Windows Advanced Option Menu (see picture):

highlight Disable automatic restart on system failure and press the enter key. It will restart the computer and will stop on the blue screen error instead of restarting your computer.
Hope this helps.

Inspiron 1720 reboots randomly. tried reseating ram and cant find solution. the reboot happens usually when i try to use programs and just shuts down and restarts like nothing happened. help is very...

most likely related to the blue screen issues. a possible reinstall of the OS may be needed. To check if it is blue screen related, restart the computer, press F8 when system restarts, then select the option to disable auto-restart option on the advanced options menu and press Enter. Next time you use the system, see if it will still auto-restart or if you'll get a blue screen. If there is an error, a system rstore or OS repair or reinstall may also be needed.

I have a problem with my del optplex gx260 is keep on restarting, why?

If the computer is restarting continously at the windows loading screen then you have a windows issue of which your computer is "Blue Screening" and restarting. In this case you arent really seeing the blue screen as windows restarts immediately as the error occurs. My advice to you is to press F8 before the windows loading screen and choose to "not restart automatically on error" that is not entirely what it says but its to that regard. If that doesnt work try pressing the "Pause Break button continously until the blue screen appears, read the error and google it to find out what is causing the error and go from there. Please feel free to get back to me on this if my information doesnt help or i need to explain further.
