Can you give me the Model # and make of the Motherboard / mobo ?

If your computer is starting up normally, just with no sounds after it boots then I would look to see if your audio card has come loose. If it is an onboard audio card then it is possible that it could have gotten damaged from the dying power supply. Post back with what the computer is doing.

Does it boot up into Windows?

Does it hand during the boot process?

If it does boot, check under Device Manager. Are there any yellow exclamation points and is your audio card found there?

Speaker (right speaker) wire to GREEN socket. Open your device manager and see if any sound component is registering a splat...yellow ! Is the light on the speaker. Open sound and see that no X is in the mute box. Make sure the volume in turned up on the speaker and the computer. If all that is cool...reinstall the sound drivers for your computer. I don't mean to belittle you but its the little things that are missed can mess you up for hours-and man does it give one a red face. good luck , hope something here helps

Trace the TV audio back to its source - TV or Cable Box most likely. We have no way of knowing which. Substitute in another source to test the input.

If DVD audio works so does the basic HTS.

Box was working, tv now back to analog

Sounds like the converter didn't make it. The symptoms you describe sound like the converter was working and then died. You may want to bring it back to store were you got it.

Intel dg31pr motherboad not booting.

Unhook everything except power and your monitor. Put one stick of memory in and attempt to boot. Post here with results, what power supply you're using, what memory, and what processor.

I took my pc apart last night to do some kabinett mods to my antec 900. and put everything back togheter and startet up, everything seems to work but i dont get no picture on my screen, it says no signal...

"No signal input" means that the signal is not making it from your video card to the monitor. Things to try: 1) check your monitor cable to make sure you didn't accidentally bend any pins when you reconnected it. 2) Unplug the monitor for about 5 minutes and then try again. 3) If you are positive that everything is connected correctly and that things are working (you can hear the hard drive and fans spinning up but no video) then you may have somehow killed a component. disconnect everything except the power-supply, video card, 1 stick of ram, the CPU and the CUP fan and see if it you get video there. If you don't, then the next step would be to swap out each of those components left to see what died.

No boot up

Try removing all memory except one board. If it does not come up switch boards. Still no luck, check power supply if you can or switch it with another. A power supply checker is pretty cheap, 10 to 15 dollars, and well worth the investment, although it is not foolproof. Try switching PS off, physically remove the BIOS backup battery, then replace it and try again. That should have cleared the BIOS back to factory defaults. It sounds like a memory problem, but as a last resort, you might reseat the CPU. The CPU fan runs, yes? Can you get some other memory to try? Well good luck!

No power except fan

It's your CPU. It sounds like you didn't apply the thermal liquid between your CPU and fan.

No Picture

Rarely picture tube also shows the same symptom. High pitch sound is due to through deflection area LOT power supply is loaded. Compulsary horizontal output transister short. From your statement i think Lot puncture takes place. Change LOT and horizontal output transister and check tv is now working.
