Question about Refrigerators
I have a 9 year old Maytag PSB2352GRW side-by-side refrigerator. I found there is quite a bit ice accumulation at the bottom inside the fridge, and water dripping onto the floor outside the fridge. I tried removing the ice but overnight the ice accumulated again.
I have tried cleaning the rubber parts around the inside edges of the fridge door. Seems no help.
Also tried looking for the defrost drain pipe. Only found one plastic pipe at the lower back. The pipe is not blocked (tried removing the end that connects to the fridge and poured in a bit water and water comes out from the other end into a pan).
Is there anything I can try myself, or should I call in a professional to fix it?
Thanks very much in advance for any suggestions.
Hi, Are you getting ice build up in the freezer side as well? There is a air shuttle between the fresh food side and the freezer side. thwater might be getting in the freshfood side from there. Look at the bottom rear panel in the freezer for ice build up. Ig=f there is ice, you will need to get to the drain from inside the freezer and check for blockage.
Please let me know if I can help you further.
