HELLO AM VAMSI MY PC HAVE A 912 PROBLEM WHEN EVER I OPEN MY, IT SHOWS 912 ERROR. HOW TO SLOVE THE PROBLEM TELL ME

This error code happens when the cover of the computer case has been removed, usually an HP computer. While the BIOS can be different between different models, this should help.
Turn the computer on
• Press F10 to enter the BIOS setup, wait for about 10 seconds
• Find the Hardware Monitor Setup menu (use arrow keys), select then press enter
• On Reset Case Open Status, change value from Disable to Enable (use + on the numeric pad on the right side of the keyboard to change the value)
• Press F10 to save the configuration, press Enter.

Sony vaio pcv-w510g. CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded hardware monitor found an error. Enter power setup menu for details. Also, power button must be depressed...

It sounds like the CMOS battery may be dead. It's a small watch battery inside the computer that maintains your time and date settings even when the computer is turned off and not connected to power. They die after 3-5 years and need to be replaced. They are usually a standard 2032 watch battery that you can get at Radio Shack for $5. The bad news is that the computer will need to be opened up to change it. If you are not comfortable doing that, I'd recommend finding a local technician or shop to do it for you. They can be found pretty easily using google maps or craigslist

Computer continiously ask for reboot

DFirst thing to do is to UNdo everything you have just done: Memory Upgrade and CPU Cooler. If normal operation returns, try the upgrades, one at a time, to narrow down the source of the problem. I suspect the memory, as a DIMM chip not correctly set up will cause this problem. Let me know what it does, please? jaye.ellen@gmail.com

Hardware monitor found an error

First I would make sure all the power plugs are properly plugged into the motherboard and all other devices.

If that does not solve it then I would get the Power supply tested at a local PC shop. Or just get a new decent power supply. Looks like the Power supply without a doubt is defective.

Help please, hardware monitor found an error

Hi havinthangs,

Have you tried ignoring the monitor error, that is pressing F1?

Additionally, you can try, use a separate power connector for the DVD drive not piggybacked to the one used by the HD. If your drives are SATA, double check on the power adapter. If your DVD is external and USB connected, check its own power supply. Further you may want to un-check the Auto Power OFF in Power Management for USBs.

If you think the problem is PSU related, you can try lowering your BIOS/CMOS settings down to Default and not Optimized.

Of course the next best try would be to use a another PSU preferably with a higher wattage.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
