SOURCE: kenmore 70 series dryer control/timer knob doesn't turn when running

THE TIMER HAS A SMALL DRIVE MOTOR THAT TURNS THE TIMER AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS FOR DIFFERENT CYCLES AND VARIES FROM BRAND TO BRAND BUT EITHER WAY YOU MUST REPLACE THE TIMER , EXPENSIVE FIX IF THE DRYER IS WORTH IT THAT SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM

SOURCE: kenmore dryer series 70 won't turn on

most of the time it is the door switch that goes bad, also you can check the main fuse inside the dryer on the blower box,and always make sure your dryer vent and wall vent are clear to vent, let me know what you find-mike

SOURCE: GE dryer starts but..... stops

What you describe is either a failed evenheat board or a failed motor relay.
Please post the complete model number from the machine and I can help you narrow it down. There should be a wiring diagram inside the console with voltage checks also.
Thanks/Mike

SOURCE: Kenmore Dryer stopped running

This sounds like you may have blown the thermal fuse.  If you turn the dryer around facing the back, remove the screws holding the back panel on (be sure to unplug the pigtail from the wall!!!).  When you remove the back panel, down towards the bottom, you will see a plastic piece (could be long and square, or rounded type.  Do believe it will be the long type) with 2 wires going to it.  It has a screw that holds it it.  This fuse protecs the unit and motor from excess heat and electrical issues.

How do you dry clothes in this machine please

A fairly common problem! The official instructions are

Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth to
remove dust from storing and shipping.
1. Load clothes loosely into the dryer and close the door. Do not
pack the dryer. Allow space for clothes to tumble freely.
2. Turn the Cycle Control knob to the recommended cycle for the type of load being dried. Use the Energy Preferred Automatic Setting (,) to dry most heavyweight and medium weight loads. See "Drying, Cycle, and Temperature Tips."
3. Select a temperature setting on models with a Temp/Fabric selector. The cycle descriptions include temperature setting suggestions.
4. Push the START button.

Stopping and Restarting
You can stop your dryer any time during a cycle.
To stop your dryer
Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control knob to OFE
NOTE: The Cycle Control knob should point to an Off area when
the dryer is not in use.
To restart your dryer
1. Close the door.
2. Select a new cycle and temperature (if desired).
3. Press START

Kenmore front load dryer won't heat and timer broken

The most likely cause is the timer is bad. It turns on and off things as it cyles through and the first step is to get the tub turning before it turns on the heat.

If you heard a pop then your belt probably fell off. There is a belt safety switch that wont allow the dryer to turn on if the belt is not attached

Hello,

There could be a broken part in the dryer knob, see if you can get it replaced. Could be carbon collection too, try to remove the knob and clean it.

My Push Start Relay or Control Knob is not starting the Dryer

is this the even heat model? if it is you need a new control board on the back of the timer area and might as well buy a couple relays the black ones with 4 wires in them. one is for the pts and the other is a heater relay both are the same part
