SOURCE: Replacement regulator required for Endless Summer patio heater

These regulators can usually be purchased from Canadian Tire or Home Depot. If you are unable to locate the exact replacement, email the model number located on the regulator and I will locate one for you. I am in the GTA and can be contacted via company website. www.emshvac.com
But one question, why do you think the regulator is defective? These rarely fail.

SOURCE: Have Endless Summer patio heater. I got the burner

It could be the thermocouple, but you have to take the head apart to replace it. If you got the main burner to fire, then the thermocouple is probably ok. Try changing the regulator, easy to do and not to expensive. If that doesn't work, try taking the head apart and cleaning the pilot and main burner orifices, do both while you are in there. If you are not comfortable doing this, hire someone.

My gas endless summer heater shuts the flame off abruptly after 5 minutes or so. why??

The first consumable part to fail on a gas patio heater is the thermcouple, these can last anywhere between 1 year to 6 years. When faulty it will cause the heater to shut off when turned on at pilot. Found this site very useful patio heater problem solving.

Flame stops suddenly after running for a while. Yes, there is fuel.

Check that there are no leaks, to do a leakage test see patio guide to problem solving. If OK then check the thermocouple, when worn out they will cause the pilot to switch off.

233010, Pilot fires up and heater lights ok but shuts itself off after 5 min. Is one of the thermocouples malfunctioning?

It's possible, Cal, but it could be that the burner and the pilot assembly simply need a thorough cleaning. As, insects love to build nest in the heating part, when they are not being used.

If after cleaning the unit thoroughly, you still have the problem, you can purchase the Thermocouple from the manufacturer, Blue Rhino 1.800.762.1142.

I hope I was able to help you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Flame goes out after 5 to 10 min then have to wait until it cools to relight

Unless, it's the wind blowing the flame out, I'd say the Thermocouple needs to be replaced. This is based on what you said, " have to wait until it cools to relight." The reason for that, is that the burner control valve has to reset itself. You can also check the pilot and pilot orifice for obstructions. Blowing it out with a can of compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with) may also help solve the problem. As insects like to build nests in these heaters, when they are not in use.

Endless Summer Patio Heaters are manufactured by Blue Rhino under the name Uniflame and Endless Summer. You can purchase any necessary parts from them online, if necessary.

Hope this helps you to solve your problem.

I need to convert a Endless Summer Blue Rhino patio heater Mod. No. 233010 from naturalm gas to propane , what do i need

You would need new pilot and main burner orifices. You would also have to ask the dealer/manufacturer if the valve on the propane heater will work with propane. It may not because the propane tank will have to be connected to the heater using an LP hose and regulator. You would then need to take apart the heater to install the new orifices. Considering the cost of a new heater that is set up for LP, I do not believe the conversion to be practical.

It sounds like you are not getting enough gas at the main burner. Possible causes, bad regulator, easy to replace and relatively inexpensive. You could also have a partial blockage in the main jet orifice, not letting enough gas through. You have to take the head apart to service the main jet orifice, do the pilot jet orifice while you are in there. If you are not comfortable doing that, hire someone.
