Re: ATI Radeon

Maybe your power solution is too weak - i have chieftec 400W and I have ~2 second playing game, and then all freezing...
in near future I'll try 700W, this must be enough - I think... ;)
(sorry for my alien english) ;]

    My games keep crashing...

I would go the web site. They now own ATI and have a section for ATI products. Find the support page and then find a user's forum. Chances are someone else has already had your problem, and a solution exists, or open a problem case. It may cost you, depending on whether or not your ATI card is under warranty.
Another option you may try while you wait for a solution from the forum, or ATI, would be for you to remove all ATI software, and reinstall from the CD that came with your card.
    Good luck!

My game wont work, it is Star Wars KOTON2

The mobility series from ATI Radeon are not suported by the game... i know that not even KOTOR 1 works with mobilyty cards. That is a thechnical problem you have due to the video chip. You can try to change it but since it is a mobility series it means you have a notebook computer... you will have some hard days rtying to find a video card for a notebook. Try at a repair center for laptops, maybe they have a solution. Note that the MOBILITY ans nVidia Geforce GO are not supported by many games... it's not worth it to mention that INTEL GMAs Graphic Cards are absolete for gaming. Try a ATI HD series or better an nVidia Geforce 7600GT 7800GT 8600GT or better. THe game works even on ATI 9200 and nVidia FX 5200 but there were never put in notebooks

    Intel graphics card

    Hello there.

Unfortunately Intel drivers have some bugs in them which means it will not support Hardware T&L correctly. This means that intel graphics chips are not recommended for any new games and many old ones. Some Intel chipsets support more than others, unfortunately yours doesn't.

You can see here which chips support some parts of hardware Transform + Lighting here at

An entry level AMD/ATI radeon or Nvidia graphics chip would be more suited to occasional gaming on a laptop system.

    The game stopped

    Hello matbedui,
If you think the Radeon card is overheating you can check this by simply touching the card after it's been running for sometime. Some Radeon cards (high end) do have this problem. PC cases that do not have sufficient fresh air flow cause problems not just to video cards but to everything inside the case. The design of the HIS Radeon X1650 is less than sufficient. Keeping air flow contained. One way in & one way out. This issue is so important many companies creat sites to help you cool your card.
Your Radeon X1650 Pro IceQ II runs ATI's chips. Installing the latest software is recomended. Download from here:
Pick your OS. Than pick Radeon. Scroll down to your X1600 series. You can also update through HIS. Their software is twice the size of the ATI software.

    Good luck!
