first download drivers for motorokr e6,firmware and RSDLITE v.3.4.
install drivers and connect ur fone through cable and open RSDLITE as it will detect ur fone.After that browse firmware and press START and it will format ur fone with brand new software and security codes will be default 1234 and 000000 but be aware that ur msgs,fonebook and everything will be lost.

For me too similar problem comes rarely, I wl restart the phone and the problem will b rectified automatically. Try this, if u still face the problem You just remove your memory card frm phone and plug it again. Also ensure the memory card is working properly.

To Guest:
You have to use Motorola phone toolkit to copy and backup the contacts and messages. For E6 to be detected as Mass storage, the drivers are preinstalled in XP, so no need of drivers.

Use the startup & powerdown style menu option in motokit to modify it.
Its a windows app which communicates with the phone via USB and the p2k drivers.
