I have a LG DVD Recorder model number: rh265 and a DSE (**** Smith Electronics) TV that is made with Sony parts. I am trying to get the remote fully functioning so i can adjust the sound using the remote. the instrctuions tell me to hold down the tv power buttons and options will appear. when i hold down the button nothing happens. please help.
