I don't know that you can replace the screen, but you can download a TI emulator that will let you load you 86's ROM onto your computer and use it on your computer screen.

How do I reset my TI-86 after a long period of no use.

Every time you change batteries this will happen to you. First press 2nd then press and hold the down arrow. Hold until their is no black in the background but you can still see the numbers on the screen.

I've replaced all the batteries including the backup battery on my TI-86 and it still doesn't power on. I also tried adjusting the contrast.

It sounds like the calculator is broken. Well broken past the point where you can fix it by yourself. You can try contacting TI about the warranty.

I dropped my ti 86 and now the top left corner is black and blue? whats the matter. ti still types and works right just cant see.

The Screen Was knocked out of place, the problem is pretty much just a moved part from the drop. you should probably get someone to repair it. I do not recomend attempting to fix it yourself, this can result in even bigger problems with the calculator.

I stop using my TI-86 for a few months and know

I hadn't used mine in years and had the same problem. Essentially you just need to give it a workout to get all the pixels working properly again and then it'll be just fine. I adjusted the contrast between full dark and nothing multiple times and turned the calculator on and off after each cycle and now it works like new.

Ti 86

Hi I got a problem with Ti-86 which is a line of the screen pixel missing. I tried to increase and decrease the intensity of the screen (2nd and up, down). Also tried to go to MODE function. I have tried those for several times. It works great. The line of those missing screen pixel came back. I don't know why. Just try it.
