Question about Acer Computers & Internet
With regards to how much memory you can have that will be down to your motherboard - if you go to http://www.crucial.com
That will advise you on how much RAM you can have as a maximum.
As for hard drive capacity you should be able to have any hard drive in the laptop upto I would say about 500 gigabytes ( I think thats the largest capacity they do for a laptop hard drive )
Could be wrong as they are always bringing out new ones - the only thing I will say is make sure its from a reputable place you purchase both from in case it does not work with the computer that way you can at least take it back.
500 gigabytes should be more then enough for a laptop - if you need more space then get a pcmcia card for your laptop that has firewire 800 and use an external firewire 800 hard drive.
That or get a pcmcia card that supports eSATA - if it exists on a pcmcia card and get an enclosure that supports eSATA and it will be a lot faster then firewire unless you have a gigabit network card in which case you can get a NAS case and purchase a hard drive to go into that NAS enclosure.
If you need more help post back.
