when I charge it and go out the next day it stays at 5 green till I go up a pathway then it goes to 4 once I hit flat ground it goes to 5 again then once I cross this street and go down another street it should stay at 5 but goes to 4 sometimes it does stay at 5 but I find I cant go too far because I am afraid of getting stranded I have had the batteries checked and was told they were still okay but to have them checked in four months and I was talking last week to a tech and he said the climate changes can affect a scooters charge which I have heard they made a call to Pride office but haven't heard back from them yet as to what else might cause this also how often should I charge it some say to charge it even if you go to a store or if you go along distance and one more thing does having my lights on at night affect the charge of my scooter

My Pride Pursuit XL cannot keep front tires. I have had 3 sets of front tires go bald and I've had the scooter 1.5 years. Pride sent a bar to go on the front end but this made the tires wear even faster. Any help here?

Hi, sounds like the front wheel tracking is incorrect , another thing that causes this is any added weight in the front Basket from experience.. things to think about , tires , ther are some nasty cheap tires out there ... regards Rob

My gogo ultra is showing fully charged and horn beeps, when i put key in it beeps fast 10 times and 5 beeps after

5 beeps usually means scooter is out of gear, but since the lever is in the drive position and the scooter gearbox/differential is engaged, it seems that the controller is not sensing the gear change. Possibly a faulty micro switch in the motor housing can be the cause of this, usually the micro switch is pressed down by the drive lever and if the switch is pressed down the motor controller knows the scooter is in gear.

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. With a Pride Scooter the charger will turn green if its fully charged and if there is a bad connection in the wiring with the batteries. If you plug in the charger and the light comes on green right away then there is a problem with the wiring or connections. Take a voltmeter and read the voltage at each battery. Fully charged they should be 13-15 volts each. If they are less than 12 volts then they are not charged and the charger is not working correctly. If the batteries are really low like less than 8 volts each then the scooter might not come on at all. If you find that the batteries have at least 12 volts or more then there is a wiring problem from the rear of the scooter to the front tiller. Pride has a habit of developing problems in the harness running from the rear to the tiller. My suggestion is to contact your provider (where you got the scooter) and have them troubleshoot the scooter. If the scooter is less than a year old then it should be under warranty and your provider will have to fix it under warranty. Sorry I don't have a quick fix for you but scooters are notoriously bad to troubleshoot and repair, especially long distance. Hope this helps you

My father-in-laws gogo will be not used for several months while he's in florida. how should the battery be stored/charged while not in use?

Charge the batteries fully and remove the battery pack from the scooter. About once a month charge the battery pack. It shouldn't take long to charge since you are not using the scooter Don't overcharge when the light on the charger turns green turn it off and unplug it from the battery pack. This should keep the batteries fully charged and fresh when FIL gets back home. Hope this helps you

Alan, this could be that the switch is getting worn. If you can take the console off and get access to the switch try jumping across the switch and check that the scooter turns on and doesn't beep. If it works properly then the switch is worn and you can replace the switch with a plain old on/off toggle switch. If you want to buy a toggle switch and use it to jump the switch and see if the scooter works correctly. If it does then replace the old switch with the toggle switch. Hope this helps
