It is possible that the new lamp is running hotter. It is not a repair, but you can try to leave the filters out for a test to see if the air flow is blocked somehow, even though they are clean.

    Just a thought.

Hi

is the projector enclosed in a cabinet, hanging on the ceiling or on top of a table? needs more ventilation for it not to overheat. you can reseat the lamp, re-clean the filter. Hope this helps.

If issue persist, look for a backup projector so it won't spoil the show. Thanks for using Fixya

Picture shows up side down

If the picture shows upside down with the projector sitting on its feet projecting forward, then it is in ceiling mount projection mode. Page 58/84 of the User Manual explains how to change: Menu; Options(2); PRJ Mode; Front; Enter

I have a sharp xg-c55x. I put a brand new lamp. It worked once for about 20mins. Since then it starts warming up & then it turns off. How do i fix or reset? Thank you

Have reset the lamp hours after installing the new lamp? If, not the projector has treated the new lamp as old lamp & refusing to light further. So, reset the lamp hours to zero. To reset the lamp timer do as follows. Plug the power cord into the AC socket of the projector. Switch ON the power of the socket. (not projector) While pressing simultaneously INPUT, ENTER & UNDO on the projector, press ON on the projector. "LAMP 100%" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.
If this does not correct your problem then the problem lies in other area. Let me know so that further I can provide you solution. Above things are preliminary.

Replaced both bulbs with brand-new bulbs. Now all

Verify that the lamp doors are securely closed. The blinking red lights indicate a lamp problem. In this case, both appear to be defective. I doubt that the lamps are the problem. double chack all connections and doors for proper seating. Update this if the problem remains.

Thanks,
Dan

Infocus X10 projector overheating.

okay most people think well its not hot up there but truely it is hot toward the cealing. If its overheating on the roof mount try to use a wall mount instead.. If they have it running for 5 days streight then is something your not oding right here and that might be the mount.

The projector is starting up but after warming up it shuts itself off. It is not the a problem with the filter, lamp seating or an overheating issue.

Does the lamp actually light up and project? If not, it's probably a dead bulb. Are there any flashing lights that might be displaying an error code? How dow you know it's not overheating? Remove the filter and give it a good cleaning. Some projectors measure airflow and, even though the heat hasn't built up, the projector shuts down because it predicts overheating will occur due to insufficient airflow.

My xg-e650ub also shut down while in use, and won't power up.

Reset the lamp timer.
1,Connect the power cord.
2,While simultaneously holding down "menu","enter" and "down" on the projector, press "standby/On" on the projector and keep all four buttons pressed down until the lamp indicator starts blinking green.
"LAMP 0000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.

I have a Sharp LCD Projector, Model #XG-E650UB & it won't power up.

are there any leds lit? if not, it may be the bimetal circuit breaker. if the unit overheats, the breaker trips to cut the heat source, and needs to be reset manually. unfortunately, the top needs to be removed. it's located on top of the lamp housing (red button). if it's not tripped and still no power, you need to replace the power supply.

Looks like the wrong lamp was installed, or the cooling fan is not working. Careful - it may be permanently damaged, as the LCD inside can be hurt by high temperatures.
