In the window with the picture you want to copy, choose Select/All and then Edit/Copy. In the window where you want to put it, create or select the layer into which you want to put it, then choose Edit/Paste. You can then move, scale, and whatever.
Hi tasha546..
To change the background to a picture or text you must have that picture downloaded on your computer.
If it is already downloaded on the pc then do the following to put that picture as your background.
Double left click "Start">left click Control Panel>left click Appearance and Themes>left click desktop background, in the pop open window click on "Desktop", then left click on "Browse" and locate your picture/text that you want to set as your background. When you locate and click on the picture/text you want, the left click on "Open" and it will put that picture/text as your desktop background.
If the picture/text is not downloaded to the pc, then download the picture/text to your pc and follow the above instructions.

Hi Adrien, the easiest way to set a picture as a Windows background is to open the picture in your web browser and right click on it. A menu box should appear, about half way down you should see an option labeled *Set as Background*. Left click on that option and Windows will automatically use that picture as you background image and tile it to fill your entire desktop. Alternatively if you have Windows XP and use the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer program to display the picture the process is the same except when you right click on the picture the selection will be *Set as Desktop Background*. When you select that option it will do the same thing. If you don?t like the tiled effect right click on the desktop and select properties from the popup menu. In the display properties box that appears click on the Desktop tab, and in the lower right hand corner you will see a field labeled *Position*. Left click on the pull down arrow and select center or stretch, depending on what effect you want.
