Red Convergence on JVC AV- 65WP74

The red convergence ( horizontal ) swags downward from the middle of the screen to the right side. It is a none adjustable problem. Is this a I.C. problem or replace a complete board ? Any solution ?

This is the second time the convergence has gone out. Last time it was almost 400.00 to get it fixed. Is this going to be a reoccuring problem?

I have the same problem going on right now. I was told it would cost between $425-$525 to get it fixed. Does anyone know of a more affordable option on replacing these items?

    Thanks,

One of my wife kids was playing video games bypassing the locked panel, (I hid the remote to avoid using the tv for games) and next day when I started the tv I noticed the double images. Tried to corrected with auto convergence and manual but the red color breaks up and the red image stays on the right of the screen.

have pts rebuild the board which will cost around $130, www.ptscorp.com, or replace the stk392-110 x 2 located on the convergence panel.

Tv has started making red ghosts that go 2 the right of the screen, what is this problem?

Thats a convergence issue which is common for all rear projection models. The AV48WP74 - AV65WP74 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually solve convergence issues. The kit contains both ICs and the associated resistors and the CD with repair instructions.

I have a JVC I'Art pro AV-65WP74. I think I have a convergence problem and would like to know how I can fix it. The red color will not focus correctly. it looks as if the picture is in 3D with the red...

See attached photo of what convergence board in your set looks like and the chips that fail; it is directly behind front panel beneath the screen--access from the front.

I can tell you exactly how to get at it and what is involved in the repair---TOTAL PARTS COST ON EBAY will be under 25 dollars.

If you want assistance and this information and the photos helped you rate this solution as very helpful.

I have done dozens of these sets with the same problem.

The TV has just started a red/green problem. The picture is double in the top and bottom of the screen with one image red and the other green.

you need to install a convergence repair kit. The AV48WP74-AV65wp74 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com has the parts and the CD with instructions.
