Question about Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso Machine
My Saeco Vienna de Luxe grinder keeps turning for about 15 seconds, then stops and the red light comes on. I cleaned out the grinder just to be sure it wasn't plugged, and then discovered that it grinds the coffee beans but nothing comes out because the spring loaded door stays shut. WHenever I open the door with my fingers, fresh ground coffee spills out. I have two photos I can send, one with the door shut, and one with the door held open showing a wire spring that may have jumped out - I don't know what it is supposed to look like normally. I have done a system reset. Nothing appears broken. I am currrently in Africa, a long ways from any service center.
Try this: clean out the chamber, then set the grinds coarser to see if it makes a difference. If it does not then the micro switch or solenoid that controls the door is broken. Check resistance on solenoid it may need to be replaced.
